How to Make Honey Dijon Brussels Sprouts In Air Fryer
Step 1: Prepping the Brussels Sprouts
Add 1 lb. frozen brussels sprouts to a large bowl. Coat the brussels sprouts in olive oil and salt + pepper. The olive oil works as a non-stick and creates a crispy shell.
Step 2: Transfer the Brussels Sprouts
Place the frozen brussels sprouts into the air fryer. The air fryer does not need to be preheated.
Step 3: Set the Cooking Time
Set the air-fryer to 390°F for 15 minutes for frozen brussels sprouts. This timing allows them to perfectly cook through and maintain a crispy outer shell.
Step 4: Make the Sauce
In the large bowl combine the honey, Worcestershire, and Dijon with a whisk. Combine ingredients to make a blended sauce lump free.
Step 5: Remove & Coat
Remove the brussels sprouts from the air fryer and add to the sauce. Make sure to coat brussels sprouts thoroughly. The heat from the brussels sprouts will help absorb the sauce.
Step 6: Strain & Serve
Strain the extra sauce from the brussels sprouts. Add the additional sauce on the side for dipping. This dish can be served as an appetizer or accompany any meal.
Optional Garnishes
Fresh Herbs
Herbs like thyme can provide great flavor and are visually appealing as well.

Alternative Preparations
To add a little more flavor to this dish, add some cooked bacon or parmesan cheese.
*When grating the parmesan cheese use a micro planer first so the cheese melts in. Finish with a regular grater for texture and flavor.
Noodles are a great addition to this dish. If you are keto or gluten-free they make wonderful alternatives. Trader Joe’s brand makes a fantastic brown rice and quinoa substitute. It is a spaghetti style noodle that is healthy, yummy and cost effective. What’s great is that the kids can’t tell the difference.
Doubling up the Sauce
Serving a crowd or using in another dish. Additional sauce can be made by doubling the recipe. The amount provided is enough to coat the brussels sprouts and allow some extra dipping sauce on the side.
If you are serving with noodles, it is enough to coat and provide enough sauce. By doubling up the sauce you can also double the amount of brussels sprouts to feed more.
This sauce works fantastic for protein like chicken, pork, or beef. Grilled Pork Loin makes a great pair for these.
When serving with one of the listed proteins doubling the sauce is beneficial. You can coat the brussels sprouts and have delicious extra sauce for the protein.
Using Defrosted or Fresh Brussels Sprouts

Frozen | 15 | 390°F |
Defrosted | 13 | 390°F |
Fresh | 10 | 390°F |
The defrosted brussels sprouts contains more water content, so they’ll have a longer cooking time than fresh. This really comes down to preference. The ease and simplicity of freezer brussels sprouts year-round is great.

Trader Joe’s has a great medium sized frozen brussels sprouts. I find fresh to crisp up the best and the most visually appealing. The sauce pairs well with any type of brussels sprout you use.

My name is Keren Tayler. I am a stay-at-home mama to three lovely girls, Sarah + Rachel + Hannah. Prior to becoming a mom, I had a successful career in the accounting field, steps away from becoming a CPA. I decided to give up on my career in order to raise my own kids (as opposed to letting a nanny do it, no judgment here :)) I learned a lot and I love sharing it with other moms. Along the way, I also became a Certified Food Handler.
