What Are Stackable Pots and Pans?
Stackable pots and pans are like normal pots and pans, but they can be nested into each other. This means that they can be placed inside of one another to stack evenly to avoid toppling over.
They’re meant to save space in your cabinets and are especially helpful if you are limited as to how much you can store in your kitchen.
Some types of stackable pots and pans can stack evenly inside of each other whereas others will stack just pots or just pans into two separate groups. The type you choose will solely depend on how much cabinet space you actually have.
How to Choose the Best Stackable Pots And Pans
As previously mentioned, there are a variety of stackable pots and pans on the market. Some are better than others and some have more value than others. Let’s take a look at how to choose the best stackable pots and pans.
Naturally, the design would be a major consideration. If you have small cabinets, look for a set that stacks completely. The ones with removable handles and flat lids are the best for maximizing space-saving capabilities.
On the other hand, if you need an effective cooking set that also helps save space, consider a set that stacks neatly rather than completely.
The pots and pans with riveted handles and regular lids offer better security and a more comfortable grip when cooking than removable handles would.
Lastly, make sure the stackable pots and pans don’t cause scratches on each other, especially the nonstick ones. If there’s a secure lock on the set, this will help keep the pots and pans from moving and causing damage.
Not only should the set save space, but it should be effective. Pots and pans with good conductive material and constriction will be good results when cooked on like a normal-sized set.
When choosing stackable pots and pans set, it’s important to consider its non-stick quality. The coating should be stronger than what’s on individual pieces that aren’t being stacked.
Stackable pots and pans are more likely to be scratched by nesting. This is why you need to choose cookware with premium and strong non-stick coatings.
A large pot is heavy enough as it is, so when you get four or five pots that are all stacked together, it can be difficult to get the biggest pot off the bottom while lifting the others.
This doesn’t necessarily mean you have to purchase a flimsy set. You should opt for a set that’s medium weight and not too heavy to lift when necessary.

They’re made from anodized aluminum that heats quickly and silicone handles that can withstand temperatures up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Furthermore, they use Thermospot technology with a built-in ring that turns red when it’s ready for cooking.
Material: Titanium & anodized aluminum

What We Don’t Like
Not Quite Dishwasher Safe
These pots and pans have to be washed by hand because the dishwasher could dry out the non-stick surface and reduce the quality of the pan. Some may find this inconvenient.
The pans have riveted handles that may come loose after continuous usage.

What We Like
Exceedingly High Non-Stick Temperature
The NInja Foodie NeverStick pots and pans have an unbelievably high non-stick temperature strength of 30,000 degrees Fahrenheit. This ensures the coating lasts a while whereas other non-stick pots and pans are only produced at a temperature of 900 degrees Fahrenheit.
Warranty: 10-year limited warranty
The material used to make this set is cold-forged anodized aluminum. The handles are made from steel and are dual-riveted to the pan for optimal strength, control, and grip. The steel handles don’t overheat during cooking either.
These pots, pans, and lids are stackable to create a more organized look in your kitchen. They take up 55% less space and can be stored in even the tightest spaces. These would work well in a camper or small kitchen as well.
Durable Non-Stick Coating
Since the coating is strengthened and durable, you can safely use metal utensils. These won’t scratch the non-stick coating. We don’t care for plastic or rubber utensils, so the fact that you can use metal ones makes us like the set even more.
Material: Stainless steel & anodized aluminum
What We Don’t Like
No Vent Holes
The unfortunate thing about the lids is that they don’t offer a vent hole to release the steam inside the pot or pan. This means that when you lift the lid, your face will get hit with a ball of steam.
Since the handles are steel and not rubberized, they will get hot when in the oven.

2.5 qt. saucepan with lid
3 qt. saute pan with lid
6.5 qt. stockpot with lid
Last up is the Calphalon Premier 10-Piece Stackable Set. We chose this set because it offers 30% more storage space and heats quickly and evenly.
What We Like
This pots and pans set has a durable three-layer non-stick coating that lasts quite a while.
It consists of a hard-anodized aluminum exterior and is made with a thicker gauge material that’s more resistant to denting, scratching, and warping.
Even the lids are durable. They’re made with tempered glass with easily graspable side handles for ideal space-saving and stacking.
The flat lids are much different than most others on the market. Since they’re flat, they’re easy for space-saving and stacking. The lids don’t have strange handles on the top of them, rather, they’re on the sides.
Hot, but Cool
This cookware is safe up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit in the oven. This is a high number, but the tempered glass lids and stainless steel handles remain cool while cooking. There’s no need to use oven mitts to remove lids or move pots and pans around.

We chose the Granitestone Stackmaster for our list because even though it’s not for large families, its stacking abilities are on point and the coating will never scratch.
What We Like
The Granitestone Stackmaster 10-piece granite coated and diamond dust stackable set is specially designed to be stacked on top of one another without scraping the coating. Scraping is a major issue that comes with stackable pots and pans and you can rest assured knowing these will withstand stacking and restacking.
The pan sizes are great for cooking modest amounts of food. What we really like about this set is that the lids can be used interchangeably on both the pots and pans and they’ve been modeled to fit over each other.
High-Quality Non-Stick Coating
The quality of the non-stick coating is. Food easily slides out of them and can even withstand the use of a metal spatula without suffering scratches. It’s fantastic for any type of food that may be prone to sticking.
Oven & Dishwasher Safe
You can use these in your oven up to 550 degrees Fahrenheit and they’re dishwasher safe. Additionally, the set is compatible with all cooktops including electric, gas, and induction.
What We Don’t Like
Not Ideal For Large Families
Even though this set saves a ton of space, the pots and pans are rather small and more suited for smaller families.
Tough to Clean Handles
Even though food can easily be cleaned with a quick swipe of a sponge, the rims on the lids are harder to clean because the food may be harder to reach.

The forked handles help disperse the heat and will remain cool during cooking. Additionally, the bottom of the pans are induction burner-safe and heat up quickly.
What We Don’t Like
Hot Lid Handle
According to many user reviews, the lid handle gets way too hot to touch and the use of an oven mitt is needed.

If you have a flat top range, you won’t be able to use this cookware because they’re simply not compatible.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can Non-Stick Pots and Pans Be Stacked?
Unless the manufacturer specifically states that the pots and pans can’t be stacked, then you can assume they can.
It’s good practice to put some type of cushion or paper plate between each one to keep them from scratching. Most pans today are made so that they are “scratch-resistant”.
Does material matter?
Not really. If the manufacturer is making the pots and pans specifically to be stacked, then material won’t matter unless they say there should be cushioning between them.
However, we found that the ceramic or titanium pots and pans were better for stacking as opposed to stainless steel or anodized steel.
Are Hexclad pans stackable?
We didn’t review this brand because they weren’t on our radar as one of the best, but yes, Hexclad pans are stackable.
Are there stackable pots and pans that have removable handles?
As far as we can see, there are no stackable pots and pans sets with removable handles. However, you can purchase separate pots or pans that do have a removable handle for better storage.
Can pots and pans be stored under the sink?
We don’t recommend storing pots and pans under the sink due to the exposure to bacteria and mold. If your faucet is leaking, it can cause water splatter that may corrode your cookware.
Since we’ve supplied you with a comprehensive review of a variety of stackable pots and pans sets, you should have no problem choosing the best one for your kitchen. The ones we reviewed above were ones that we thought would withstand most environments and hold up to even the toughest kitchen tasks.
