I am always on the lookout for kid-friendly foods. Kids can be pretty picky, so it can be tricky to find foods that everyone in the family will love.
This gets even more challenging when I am hosting a party or large family get together. I need to think about food for my guests and for my kids!
Luckily, I have found a lot of great, kid-approved appetizers that adults also love. Each of these kid friendly appetizers is easy to make, perfect for a party and sure to make your kids smile.
Kids love cheeseburgers and meatballs are a staple for my kids, too. This recipes combines those two kid friendly foods into a perfect appetizer. Kids won’t be able to resist these cheeseburger meatballs!
This recipe for cheeseburger meatballs is made with ground beef, eggs, milk, salty bacon, crunchy fried onions and lots of cheese.
The cheese is stuffed into the center of each meatball so, when you take a bite, melted cheese pours out of the center of the meatball. Kids and adults will eat so many of these oven baked appetizers that they might not have room for dinner!
If you are looking for a super simple, kid friendly appetizer to serve at your next party, this is definitely it. All you need to do is buy a bag of frozen pizza rolls at the grocery store and then follow the recipe directions to crisp them to golden brown perfection.
I recommend getting some plain cheese pizza rolls and some pepperoni. This will ensure there are pizza roll appetizers for all the kids at your party. We all know how much kids love pizza, so these pizza rolls are sure to be their favorite appetizer ever!
These no-bake taco tortilla rolls ups are a super flavorful, very easy appetizer to make. It only takes about 10 minutes to make 60 bite sized rolls! Plus, they are made with kid-friendly ingredients like soft flour tortillas, cream cheese and shredded chicken.
These roll ups do have a tiny bit of spice thanks to the taco seasoning used to make the sauce. Use mild taco seasoning or a spicier version depending on what your kids like. Kids will not only love the flavor of these appetizers but they will also think they look great too. No one can resist a perfectly spiraled roll up!
#4 Fruit Salsa
My kids go crazy for this sweet fruit salsa. It is one of the best, kid friendly appetizers I have ever made. Every kid adores it!
The fruit salsa is made with strawberries, apples, raspberries, blueberries and peaches. A little lemon juice and some jam are added to the mix to make an easy, tasty bowl of salsa.
And don’t forget to make the homemade cinnamon chips to use to scoop the salsa. Kids love the crunchy chips almost as much as they love all the fruit.
Ham and cheese pinwheels are a classic kid friendly appetizer. They are so easy to make and have a mild, but tasty, flavor. I also love these pinwheels because they are pretty healthy. They are made with simple, natural ingredients that I feel good about serving my kids.
All you need to make this tasty appetizer is cream cheese, mustard, some seasonings, flour tortillas, deli sliced ham and some cheese.
Mix up the cream cheese spread, layer it across the tortillas, add the ham and cheese and roll everything up. Your kids will want this appetizer as a lunch, snack and even for dinner!
I am so happy that these biscuit pretzel bites are easy to make because my kids ask for them all the time. They go crazy anytime I make this appetizer! And, I must admit, that I love them too.
All you need to make this kid approved appetizer is a roll or refrigerated biscuit dough, water, baking soda, eggs and salt. The biscuit dough is cut into bite sized pieces then dunked into a water and baking soda mix.
This is what gives the pretzels their unique flavor. Add a quick egg wash and some salt and the pretzel bites are ready to bake! Your kids will be waiting by the oven for this yummy appetizer to be done!
These fruit and cheese kabobs are not only delicious but they also look great on the table, too. Kids will love the pretty colors and they will like eating the kabobs. Food on a stick is always fun for kids.
Apples, grapes, strawberries and colby jack cheese are all placed onto bamboo skewers. The recipe also tells you how to make a tasty honey yogurt dip to serve with the kabobs. Even more reason to love this simple appetizer recipe!
Kids will adore the crispy, butter pastry of these spanakopita triangles and adults will like the fact that they are stuffed with healthy spinach. I know that I love giving these to my kids just as much as they love to eat them.
Homemade spanakopita is surprisingly easy to make. All you need is some phyllo dough, butter, spinach, onions, garlic, and a few herbs and spices.
The filling comes together pretty quickly and assembling the little triangles is actually quite fun. You can even have your kids help fold them up! It will just make your kids love this appetizer even more!
Every kid is going to reach for this appetizer and then ask for seconds. These chocolate dipped fruit cones are the perfect mix of sweet fruit and crunchy ice cream cone. They are fantastic for a dessert or to enjoy as a snack.
You can fill the chocolate dipped cones with any of your favorite fruits. I always look for what is in season and looks good in the grocery store. Use fruits of all different colors so your kids also love how they look.
#10 Toasted Ravioli
My kids love ravioli so this appetizer is perfect for them. It turns a favorite dinner food into a handheld, easy to eat appetizer. And, it is really easy to make!
Cooked ravioli are coated in breadcrumbs and then baked until crispy. I like to use the air fryer which makes the ravioli have the perfect crunchy texture. My kids love when I serve this appetizer with marinara sauce as a dip.
All kids love chicken nuggets and this chicken nugget recipe is the best I have ever tried. The nuggets are nice and crunchy which makes them easy to hold and eat as an appetizer.
You can also pair them with all different types of dip, too. My kids love classic ketchup with nuggets but adults might like a honey mustard dip.
This nugget recipe is also a little healthier than classic nuggets since they are baked rather than fried. They also have tasty seasonings, like paprika and onion powder, baked into every bite. This is one appetizer that you need to put on your list, especially if there are kids.
Give some of these kid friendly appetizer recipes a try and let us know what you think. They are all unique but all created with kids in mind. Enjoy!
