Instructions:

Step 1- Season the Steak

Grab your spices and let’s get to seasoning. There is no specific order as to how to season, each one will get a chance to get on that steak.

Add your salt, black pepper, steak seasoning and if you’re feeling wild, any other season you like. Season the steak/s on each side the same.

Step 2-

Preheat Air Fryer for 5 minutes at 400°F

Step 3- Air Fry Your Steak:

Place the steak/s inside the air fryer with a slice of the seasoned butter on top.

If you are cooking sides, some sides may be placed inside the air fryer along with your steak. Such as the completed meal seen pictured below.

Sides that Can be Cooked Along With the New York Steak Strip

The following items can be cooked inside the air fryer along with the steak at the same temperate and cooking time. Place on either side of the steak.

  • Asparagus
  • Roasted potatoes
  • French fries
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Roasted Brussel Sprouts
  • Baked Parmesan Broccoli
  • Green Beans
  • Corn on the Cob

Step 4- Cook Your Steak/s- Air Fryer Temperature and Time:

Air Fry at 400°F for 12-15 minutes deepening on the size of your steak and how well you want it done. Mid-way on the cooking time, flip your steaks.

Please see the following guide below for better temperature and cooking instructions based on the Air Fryer brand that you have.

Cook according to the cooking instructions based on the Air Fryer brand that you have and let rest 5-10 minutes before serving.

Steak Temperature

If you’re like me and must check the steaks temperature to make sure it’s cooked thoroughly or to your liking, place a Thermarator in the steak.

To determine your steak readiness, follow the following:

  • Rare: 130 degrees F
  • Medium Rare 135 Degrees F
  • Medium 145 Degrees F
  • Medium Well: 150 Degrees F
  • Well Done: 160 Degrees F

Modifications and Substitutions

One of the best things about cooking with an Air Fryer is that you can cook frozen Beef.

You can indeed place frozen steaks in the air-fryer on 370 degrees for 3-4 minutes. This will thaw out the steak and you can take it out, and season it.

Air Fry again until it reaches the internal temperature according to your desired doneness.

Dietary Options

If you are eating lighter or following a diet, stick to your meat serving portion as recommended in your diet, rather than eating the entire steak.

Use healthier side options, such as veggies and substitute regular potatoes with sweet potatoes as they provide more nutrients.

Storing Leftovers and How to Reheat

You can easily store your leftover steak in a plastic or glass contain in the fridge for up to 5-7 days.

Storage in a plastic freezer bag can be fresh up to 3 months. Reheat the steak in the air fryer on 350 degrees until 2-3 minutes or until warm.

How to Serve Air Fryer New York Steak Strip?

While Steaks are tasty on their own, let’s face it, they deserve a presentation, and your belly deserves a 5-star meal.

Let’s pretend we are at a steak house. We have our bottle of wine chilling; the steaks are air-frying, and we are prepping our plates.

What are we going to add to this gourmet meal? ANYTHING you want! Refer to the Optional portion of the recipe or side ideas. For me, some roasted potatoes and asparagus are my go too. See final results!

Adding some garnish also is great! After I plate my dish, I add another slice of butter on top so that it melts onto the meal as if lava running down a volcano.

Once you serve your plate, sit down, and enjoy, you’ve earned it!

Don’t forget to take a picture and post it to your social media so you can impress your friends on a job well done and get their cravings up. Who knows, they may even ask you to cater their next party.
