- 1 lb asparagus spears, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
- Add the beef slices to the hot skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, or until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the asparagus pieces to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, or until they are tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet and pour the sauce mixture over the beef and asparagus. Stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes, or until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and asparagus.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
- Serve the Sesame Beef and Asparagus Stir-Fry over steamed rice or noodles.
